well shucks

well shucks. i am leaving tomorrow to go to Indiana to meet up with my bf’s family and then, on saturday, we are all heading to Puerto Rico! i know, coolness wow-tastic, right!? well, i’ve been busy, so my tropical preparation consisted of buying two $5 bathing suit tops online, (that i figure i’ll pair with random, almost-matching american apparel bottoms that i already have) and this $20 packable sun hat, which i was imagining would be bohemian chic, but instead looks (on my big head with accompanying big hair) like an amish man’s hat! (ironically, i think my bf’s family was amish, i’m totally channeling!!)…
oh well, maybe farmer samuel is onto something beyond hip… but wooamIkidding, i’ll be all greasy with my natural Dr. Hauschka’s sunscreen anyway, maybe i’ll sit on it on the plane and see if it takes on a crumpled vintage look.

oh, to only be little again, and look effortlessly cute in any hat and bathing suit…
