diy hand painted ugly shorts

i’m leaving for Vietnam in 2 days! it’s going to be hot and i know i’ll probably be grubby and sweaty and in shorts most of the time soooo, i decided to do a little DIY and make some ugly-fun, hand-painted, jean shorts to wear with baggy white tee and sandals, while romping on the beach in ‘Nam!

DIY ugly shorts: old jeans, acrylic paint in various colors, paint brushes, imagination:

- i sized the jeans and marked with sharpie where to cut.
-i picked out bright colored paint and used a big bristle brush to splotchy-dab the paint on all over the front and back
-then i used black paint to outline some of the spots to get a “leopard-print” vibe.

totally pushes the boundary between ugly and cool so i’m thrilled!

    Soooo talented. You should definitely be a clothes designer! These are awesome! I would defintiely wear them. Have fun in Vietnam! Tell the guys that we so appreciate what they are doing! Safe trip! :)
