DIY encrusted ribbon thingy

i woke up this morning itching for a DIY. joey’s parents got me this adorable glass corked bottle filled with vintage beads and buttons for a holiday gift. i think it’s from Anthropologie. i grabbed a random piece of ribbon and my glue gun and went to town. i encrusted the ribbon with a hand full of random beads and buttons and ta da, a headband, wrap bracelet, thingy! no matter if you don’t have one of these bottles, this DIY could easily be done with random buttons, broken necklaces, beads/pearls, etc.

do it:

- cut a length of ribbon, (i used about a 3 foot long piece so i could have a lot of length to tie)
- burn the edges of the ribbon with a lighter or match to seal them so they won’t fray
- use old buttons, beads, rhinestones, old chain, pearls (fake), etc. and glue them haphazardly but close together onto the ribbon. i encrusted about 1 foot from the center of the ribbon.
- done! tie in your hair, around your wrist, waist, etc!
