OAT shoes is a brand that bridges fashion, nature and industry. they’ve recently debuted their virgin collection of biodegradable sneakers – meaning after you wear them out you can simply toss them in your garden or backyard and they will grow flowers! (with care and water that is…)

these shoes are the result of two years of research and are made of soft canvas and seed-embedded cork soles. i thought it was hilarious the way that they presented the shoe on the runway with a partially naked male model, kinda distracting i would say. what’s also interesting about these is that the designers kept a live blog about their progress throughout the entire design process… you can view it here.
