carbon footprint

do you know what your carbon footprint is? And do you even know what a carbon footprint is? if the answer is no to both, you’re in luck! we are here to help.

carbon footprint is a calculation based around your lifestyle and determines exactly how much YOU impact the planet. it basically totals up your greenhouse gas emissions based on the kind of car you drive, how much you drive it, how many times a year you travel on planes, what kind of home you live in, and so on…

there are tons of free carbon footprint calculator websites that can give you your approximate calculation and you may be surprised by the results! Here are a couple of websites you can figure out your own carbon footprint with:

http://www.nature.org/greenliving/carboncalculator/

http://sustainability.publicradio.org/consumerconsequences/

according to nature.org, my number is 24 tons of co2/ year and the average American emits 27 tons of CO2/year.

take the test and reply in the comments with your number!
