Loading...dream pad of the moment: book themed tablescape
most of you know of my love for old books – so duuuuhhhhh, i love this cheap and easy party tablescape decorating idea! this looks amazing outside under a tree for a Spring or Summer fete but could easily be accomplished inside as well by just tying the books to the light fixture above the table…
do it:
- get some vintage (old and weathered books from thrift stores, flea markets, grandma)
- get a roll of twine
- get some clear tape
step one: pull out some pages to make the table liner and simply tape the underside of the pages to each other to create a table runner (as seen in the photo) – the beauty is it’s easy clean up! just toss it (recycle it) like a paper table cloth after you’re done! secure the book page runner on your table with a weighty centerpiece like a vase of wild flowers.
step two: use the twine to loop through the center of the books (for balance) and tie to the tree branch or chandelier….
so cute!
