office design around the world

Horizon Media Office

it is a fact that most people spend the better half of their day inside an office.  with that being said, it should be a given that good office design ranks high on the lists of bosses and ceos.  studies have shown that there is a direct link between the productivity of workers and the comfort of office spaces. Coolhunter has complied a selection of the coolest offices around the world that really are worth sharing.

the horizon media office was designed by a+i Architecture . the office takes up three floors on varick street in new york city.

this office in shanghai is home to COORDINATION ASIA - a design consulting firm. they’re currently working on a bunch of museum projects in shanghai and china.

located in moscow, russia – this office is home to the bank of moscow.  this is probably the fanciest office i’ve ever seen. the interior design was based around the original building’s bones, adding embellishments such as chandeliers, marble floors and  stained glass windows.

london-based architecture and design firm SHH designed this space for an investment firm. before it was an office, it was a 5-story  townhouse.  the design is dramatic and dark, and kind of resembles a gentleman’s club.  there are pool tables, free beer (now that’s an interesting approach to making your employees comfortable), as well as a casual everyday dress code.

this office has the most modern design of the group.  designed by Makhno and his architecture firm, the space is filled with lots of  angles and shapes, and is extremely colorful.  he uses lots of different shades of blue, that you wouldn’t think would go together, but it seems to work out quite well.
