DIYable: wood head to ceiling board

how’s this for a DIYable statement headboard?! reclaimed wood up the wall behind a bed and then extend it onto the ceiling! i also like that you can disguise the wires to two hanging bedside chandeliers under the wood! fantastic!

I love this idea! Any suggestions on where to find this type of antique/distressed wood? I’m trying to decide if I like it better than a fabric headboard.

  you can start collecting worn wood by visiting junk or salvage yards, pick it up off the side of the road, etc. Or look for a construction site around you where they might be tearing down an old house etc. you’ll want thin boards so they’re easy to screw into your wall. good luck!
