these ladies are my heroes!!! OMFG like seriously i want to be like all of them when i’m older! how inspiring!

my favorite quote from the insanely rad  menswear/cat lady: “You don’t want to look crazy. The object is to look as chic as you can, but your average person in the street would NEVER wear this.” amen! that is totally my style mantra now! think outside the box, have fun and dress for yourself!!!

i also love when the lady says “Young women, you’re going to be an old woman someday, don’t worry about it…every era builds character.” so true… may we all age gracefully, independently and with style!

i can’t wait for this documentary to come out! what do you all think of these ladies? crazy or cool?

    CRAZY COOL!!!  I don’t think it matters if you end up dressing flamboyantly or in jeans and a t-shirt.  The point is to not be afraid to be yourself and to not be old when you get old!  Makes me want to put on a pink sweater.  Love.

    Tomorrow I’ll take more care with my appearance when I go out.  I’m close to 70 and have stopped dressing nicely.  Now it’s time to care again thanks to these inspiring women of “certain ages”.  When my next birthday comes, I’ll be 69 plus 1, then 69 plus 2 and so on.  I don’t feel, look, sound or act 70 so I won’t be.

    Love this!  I met a woman exactly like these ladies on a Panama cruise.  She was a dress designer from Australia and looked like Coco Chanel.  We had a great time and I knew every time I saw her she would have some wonderful creation on.  I love the lie until we’re 80 line and then brag.  I will be bragging in a few more years!

    Awesome!! I’ve noticed the older I get, the less I care about what people think of me. My style has gotten a lot more colorful and I’m a lot less abashed about being myself. I love kawaii, making my own jewelry, adding colorful lace and buttons on my clothes, and Hello Kitty! I’m so going to be one of these gals one of these days!! Hell yeah!!!!
