design idea: painted shadow

this is a fantastically creative wall treatment for around a window! rather than paint a whole wall, just paint a shadow of a window…

or paint an outline of a doorway, etc.
you could even take this a step further and paint the shadow of a headboard extending up behind it on a wall.
or in a kid’s room have them stand with a light casting their shadow on a wall, trace it and fill it in with paint!

so many options and so many paint colors!
