decorating with globes

i love globes! there is such an old-school quality to them, they add a bit of world-traveler flair to any interior space… and globes super easy to find at the thrift store or flea market! i just found one at my local thrift store for $15 and i’m using it in an upcoming episode of the interior design show i’m working on. it will add a beautiful blue accent and some cerebral stimulation.

i used a $10 one from the Goodwill with our game room in our apt

all of this stuff above, i found at the thrift store, flea market and garage sales. see the finished room here!

and other ways to decorate with globes

use a globe as a decorative accent, it brings in color and culture!

use a globe in a minimalist interior

use it in a more traditional interior (while wearing knee highs) – ps, how cool is that fireplace with the books stacked in it!?

a collection of globes on a shelf

a collection of globes on a desk

on a stand or a stack of books in a plush interior

use a globe in your wedding or party table centerpiece

paint your globe and/or write on it! chalkboard paint is a nifty idea

or paint it and stud it with thumb tacks

this is cute, glue moss and paper flowers on your globe for a 3 dimensional look.

or just simply put your globe on a windowsill with some vintage glass bottles.

moral of the story: so many options to decorating with globes!
