roundup: desk organization
Organizing desks can be an on-going process. I myself, fall prey to the piles of papers, food containers, etc. that accumulate as the work day passes. If you’re a student, you have other things to contend with, like text books…and roommates…get some more dorm design tips here any try wrapping your textbooks in pretty paper so they are a design statement!
Desks fit well in a nook, up against a wall with floating shelves, bulletin boards, above or up against a window for light and a pretty view. Here are some desk organizing and decorating ideas to keep you working in style!
- Maximize the use of the wall in front of your desk with a DIY chalkboard wall or you can make a DIY whiteboard wall. I also love the use of magazine racks and floating shelves for added storage.
- DIY wood pallet desk is functional and rustic and made cozy with a rug and some faux sheepskin. You can also DIY an organizer for your wires and cables with paper clips!
- Clipboards on the wall, or a wire with clips, to hang important papers etc., mason jars to hold pens…even strawberry crates help organize school and/or office supplies!
- Cooking supplies are multifunctional! Muffin tins and cookie sheets
