day 2 of the Sunset Junction Street Fair brought more friends, more sales, my Granny visiting from NYC (my sister Tess was too busy for pictures at that particular moment) but later Tess modeled the top to my canopy which we had quickly fashioned into a bubble skirt for her…i think it’s quite dashing actually.

more new jewelry!!! the Mr. Kate logo (mustache and beauty mark) jewelry has an expanding family! with the success of my Mr. Kate Logo Knuckle Ring i wanted to do a mini collection with some more logo-themed pieces. here are a couple in yellow gold plate. the horizontal logo ring (that’s probably what i’ll call it) and the logo necklaces, big and small… plus the other new bracelets from this post, mixed with some Mr. Kate open twig cuffs.

p.s. how fun is sidewalk chalk!? joey and i just encountered this in our neighborhood, no kids in sight. i wish there was hopscotch, but i jumped non-the-less. the colorful chalk reminds me of this girl’s blog. Ali turned me onto her blog called Color Me Katie…. she, Katie, is a freelance photographer and street-artist (after seeing Exit Through The Gift Shop i have a newfound fascination with street artists). Katie does the most lovely and colorful and happy things all around the streets and in her apartment… check it out! very inspiring.

ahhh, my beloved Daniella Monet. she is obviously one of my best happy customers and i am sooo lucky to have her as a walking Mr. Kate ad! here she is again this past weekend out and about with her Victorious go-stars at the School Gyrls premiere in her fave Mr. Kate jewelry. how amazing does her arm full of TWIG CUFFS look!? oh, and nice shoes too!

it is such a pretty day today! i laid out in my bikini this morning. i love Vitamin D, aka sunlight… it get’s a bad rap these days, but it’s important to get some sun daily. but of course, everything in moderation! read about the benefits of sunlight here .

took these photos last night after joey and i got home from a bbq (we brought our own veggie burgers and quinoa….but not in an annoying way, we shared the quinoa with the bbq peeps).

my duds: forever 21 scarf and DIY shredded jeans, steve madden boots, morphine la tank, free people beaded sweater, Mr. Kate twig bangles, twig cuff, logo ring, twig rings, cereal ring and 3 mini cereal rings all in my shop.

i had lunch yesterday with one of the cutest, most photogenic (obvi!) gals i know… my buddy Natalie Distler. i’ve posted about her before as a happy customer here and she is also one of my models from my look book and currently hosts the “fingers” page in my shop here. she is an actress and singer and all around ball of light. she plays Denis Leary’s daughter Colleen, in the long running FX show Rescue Me, and has a really meaty season coming up, which she told me about over Native Foods goodness, and everyone should watch it!! also check out her band that she has with her equally stunning bf Kyle, listen to their music on their Myspace.

natalie is a huge Mr. Kate supporter and always rocks my jewelry in her own unique way, which inspires me so much! i love to see how people incorporate my designs into their individual style. she’s wearing all her own personal Mr. Kate wares, like the gold bolt necklace which, i don’t carry anymore in my shop, but she makes me want to revive it!

i heard about this art installation on KPCC/NPR (my go-to station any time i’m in my car) by Céleste Boursier-Mougenot at Barbican Centre, London and i just had to look up the video. i love the colors of the birds, don’t they so match the photo of Natalie above? plus she’s like a pretty bird herself. i love the girl with the twig!!!
what are your thoughts about this kind of art? what do you think is his statement or commentary?

how cool is this!!!!? THE stylish Vanessa Hudgens and her equally stylin’ friend Jamie Chung were out and about in LA, both wearing their Mr. Kate logo knuckle rings!

Vanessa and Jamie were caught by the paparazzi out for a day shopping at Fred Segal Melrose this past weekend. Vanessa is wearing the Mr. Kate logo knuckle ring in black gold and Jamie is flaunting the same ring in yellow gold. i’m obsessssssed i tell you!!!
