today’s hair was dirty and messy, so i pulled it up in a messy bun and wrapped my Nuts 4 Bows Etc. Chain and Nuts Etc. Chain around my head and fastened them in place with a couple bobby pins in the back of my head. if your hair is dirty but you don’t have time to wash it, i say embrace the texture of dirty hair (rather than brushing it), put a little bit of baby powder on your roots to soak up the oil (my fave is the talc free and lavender scented one from Dr. Haushka) and pile it on top of your head. by adding something decorative, like a headband or piece of leather or something, the messiness then looks intentional as opposed to fresh from the gym.
Bow Ear Cuff in white gold plate, Screw You and my new Mini Logo Necklace in 14k white gold (coming soon), also making an appearance.

WOW, thank you so much for all your comments and kind words on my birthday blog post! i’m so lucky to have your support and i really appreciate all of you!… the polls are still open if you haven’t commented yet!
this has been a busy week… i’ve really buckled down on my jewelry biz, trying to get my new collection in order as well as my master plan, mua ha haaa. i also have some other good things happening in other areas, which i will blog about as soon as i have things set in stone… don’t want to blow my wad too soon, so to speak ; )
tonight i went to Rachel’s bridal shower at my friend Danielle’s place wearing this frock. i swear the best recipe for vintage clothes shopping is finding weird mumu type dresses and then cutting the bottoms of them and making them mini and unexpected! i got this at some thrift store forever ago and it was floor length with a ruffled bottom but i loved the crazy hippie sleeves, so i bought it for like $15, took it home, and snipped away… no hem needed, if you’re okay with rough edges.
- thrifted dress and cowboy boots, colored clip-in hair extensions, all Mr. Kate jewelry… happy wrinkle face pendant 1, logo ring, nuts etc. chain, nuts 4 bows etc. chain, love loop all available here -

we went to eat in Little Ethiopia last night… so good! i’ve posted about Ethiopian food before here...it’s soooo good! however, i didn’t realize, until we got there, that between my bright yellow hat and green pants and Joey’s new red shoes, that we matched the Ethiopian flag! …which, of course, was displayed everywhere! ooopsie.
